Audiologists are highly trained professionals with specialized post-graduate qualifications in Audiology. They are also experts in creating personalized treatment and rehabilitation plans to help you manage your hearing health effectively.

At Young Hearing, you’ll always be seen by Cindy Young, a full MNZAS Audiologist. Cindy’s passion for audiology stems from her desire to provide top-quality healthcare for those in need of hearing support. With a Bachelor’s degree in Science, a Master’s degree in Audiology, and a Doctoral degree in Audiology, Cindy is committed to offering the highest standard of care. She stays current by regularly attending conferences, workshops, and courses to maintain her annual practicing certificate from the New Zealand Audiological Society.

Young Hearing is fully independent, meaning it is not owned by any hearing aid manufacturer or tied to any preferred supplier schemes associated with chain clinics. This independence ensures that Cindy has access to a wide variety of trusted hearing aid brands and models, along with other assistive listening devices, allowing her to recommend the best options tailored to each client’s unique needs and preferences. With this unbiased approach, you can expect honest, financially impartial advice, ensuring that the recommendations are based solely on what’s right for you, not influenced by commercial interests.

At Young Hearing, you will always see the same clinician—Cindy. She will be your first and only point of contact, ensuring continuity of care and a deeper understanding of your individual needs. You won’t be just another number or passed from one clinician to another. Cindy takes the time to get to know you as a whole person, providing a level of personal attention and care that goes the extra mile. You can trust that she’ll be there every step of the way to ensure you’re well looked after.

Young Hearing is a boutique clinic, which means Cindy keeps her clinic load manageable to ensure a high-quality service for every client. Operating as a smaller business also means lower overhead costs, and Cindy is able to pass these savings directly on to you. This results in more affordable hearing aids compared to larger clinics. Cindy will guide you in selecting the right level of hearing aid based on your actual needs—sometimes high-end devices aren't necessary, and simpler solutions can be just as effective. In some cases, hearing aids may not even be required at all to address your hearing concerns. Less can often be more, and Cindy’s goal is to find the best solution for you.
